Electrical appliances
We recommend disconnecting your electrical appliances a few days before your move: your refrigerator/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. It's advisable to drain them and wipe down your refrigerator thoroughly to prevent it from becoming a breeding ground for microbes. More simply, to avoid the growth of mold in your appliances and the leakage of liquids during transport.
Packing dishes
If you're packing your dishes yourself, be generous with the use of paper or bubble wrap, and place plates in a box on their edges.
Remember to set aside personal items (such as those in the bathroom) you wish to keep with you; like your jewelry, cash, suitcases, and clothing.
Do not hesitate to clearly mark items destined for export and those staying in storage. Consider making a list or a memo so there's no confusion on moving day.
Shipping Wine? We recommend enjoying it at a nice dinner with friends, or storing it with a colleague or family member before your departure. While you can export it, this depends on the destination's regulations, and we advise asking your preferred mover.
Storage : If your belongings are going into storage, remember we cannot accept flammable materials, food, pressurized gas, and ensure your furniture/garden equipment is clean, so our little friends aren't tempted to take up residence in your storage unit, potentially contaminating it.
